  • I actually received notification just this afternoon from H.R. that we have filled this opening. We will likely be adding another position at sometime in the not-to0-distant future (likely mid to late 2012), and will gladly accept resumes to keep on file for future consideration.

Denton is a great place. I worked down in Dallas for a couple years. That whole area north west of Dallas/Fort Worth is awesome.

It's definitely gotten nicer in the past few years. We've had a whole lot a new development in Denton since the DCTA/DART A-Train track was completed, just as I was starting to get sick of this town. Stuck out tongue closed eyes

I am under the impression that there are relocation benefits since you are posting on this forum?

We have been open to such considerations, though the specifics of such an arrangement would likely be considered on a case-by-case basis. I'm actually a software developer working on CAD/CAM and CMM automation-related projects, and absolutely not an H.R. guy. So, I've just been reposting what H.R. approved for me to post...

That is a matter of opinion and compared to Detroit it probably is paradise, but compared to Austin, San Antonio, & Houston the DFW metroplex is an armpit. But it is in Texas, which is better than not.

Those sound like fighting words! It's really not that bad... Being such a large metropolitan area, there really are places to work, live, and play to suit most anyone's desires. Even Denton is becoming hospitable Wink JK

I have to admit, I have on occasion likened Houston to some other parts of the human anatomy. Smiley
