OT, I remember that! Now that I'm salary, I don't get that anymore. Disappointed

Yeah things have been a little slow over here so I haven't seen overtime in about a year. I might have shopped around because of the overtime but I get fridays off so the 3 day weekend every week is too sweet

My new job pretty much lets me work when I want as long as I get 40 hours a week. It is pretty sweet.

    I miss that......

I started here and they want me here at 6:00 on the dot. 6:01 is late. It was a really hard adjustment for me at first. I think I was late twice a week for 3 months when I started here.

Yeah, that is not fun. I'd have a problem with that if my new job was like that cause I now have a 45-50 minute drive to work through St. Louis traffic. Fortunately, they are very lenient about it. If I am a few minutes late, I just have to make up the time at the end of the day but that hasn't happened yet. My start time is also 6AM but I clock in at 5AM so I can have some quiet work time every morning before the madness starts.

That would be nice. I think they would be fine if I changed my start time but it would have to be approved by my manager and then if I got to work at 5:01 I would be late. Kind of frustrating but I understand why they do it. We have had a lot of people through here that just chronically miss time and this is a good way to weed them out.

Agreed. They are between a rock and a hard place. If they let you (good employee) show up a minute or so late, then they have to allow it for everybody (potential chronic offenders). It sucks but I see the reason for being strict and I'd probably be the same way if I was a business owner and had chronically late employees. It just sucks for those who very rarely come in a few minutes late due to sleeping in/traffic/ect...
