Agreed. They are between a rock and a hard place. If they let you (good employee) show up a minute or so late, then they have to allow it for everybody (potential chronic offenders). It sucks but I see the reason for being strict and I'd probably be the same way if I was a business owner and had chronically late employees. It just sucks for those who very rarely come in a few minutes late due to sleeping in/traffic/ect...

True. We have a few people here that cant even show up to begin with. There is one guy in my qc department that at one point in a 3 month period missed an entire month worth of days. He is still here..,..

he must of had some serious stuff going on outside of work =/ i know what thats like lol

Yeah I don't know exactly what is going on. He has been here over a year and it is an ongoing thing. Also the most fun thing I have noticed is that every time I put in vacation he misses the either while I am gone (He has missed an entire week while I was also gone) or he misses time before I am gone or time after I am gone.
