What the f**k are you talking about. c^2=a^2+b^2 is same as sin^2(angle)+cos^2(angle)=1

And trigonometry comes from Greek words trigonom(triangle)+metron(measure). Which means if you are calculating relationship of sides and angles of a triangle you are doing trigonometry.
