Where did you learn to program?

Answers everyone! How and when did you learn to program on PC-Dmis? What training classes have you taken?

I am going to take my Level 3 Advanced training course in November! I am trying to decide what to take next.

My best training has come from engineers, machinists and QA Directors challenging the CMM results my programs have produced. These type of challenges have helped me learn and gain a great deal of confidence in my abilities, the software, and the CMM's we use. I have also been proven wrong once or twice but I prefer not talking about that.

I concur for the most part but have encounter some pretty stupid engineers...I attended mechanical engineering at University of Missouri. ..Rolla...for 3 yrs prior to quiting to take a job to care for my wife and new baby...I intend on going back and finishING my last yr. ...my point...mechanical engineers have to learn statics...fluids. ...all sorts of physics. ..so, they of all people should understand XYZ <IJK><uvw>....I have worked with some that don't. ....why do I mention this? Well when checking profile my weapons of choice are thermal mapping and T-values....thinking that the engineer will appreciate this....NO!!! Doesn't understand. ..his direct words...WTF! SORRY...
