We are learning a significant upgrade to the forum system. We've ticked off a few things on this thread's list already. Some things we may not be able to get back as the feature doesn't exist in the new version. Hopefully some of the new features will offset these losses.
IE8 support isn't going to happen. It is a browser that is no longer supported by Microsoft and the forum software creators won't support it anymore.
