Capability Study help thanks

Hi,
I am doing a 42 piece run for the customer and they have wanted a capability study. But the cpk of what they want is 1.33 I am scoring lower then that. Cp is able to do the process? Would like some guidance here. Thanks.

  • Cp is a measure of the width of your data. Cpk is how centered that data is.

If your data (that is, if the normal distribution curve that fit your data) was perfectly centered, the Cpk would be equal to your Cp, which is to say that it would still be below 1.33.

The 8.496 and 8.502 should be re-measured, as they are your two singular extreme points.
