I need to get a shirt with a bullseye on the back. In the last 2 week. 3 people have been trying to convince my boss how their machine is better then what I use. One runs a manual CMM and the other 2 use a faro arm. I use a DCC CMM. Of course they say nothing to me or ask question or even know how to run it effectively but they still talk it down. After I found out I ask one of them if they wanted me to show them how to use it. I explained how to get CAD model and import them. We went on break and when I asked if he wanted to continue he gave up. Go figure. Grrrrrrrrrrr sorry for the vent.
My edumacated imagineers are so good, that they can tell the part has been beeped wrong without even verifying the part with a secondary measurement.
They know better when it is appropriate to use a cylindrical probe.
They know better how many points to use in a circle.
They just plain know better. Because they stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, and they once watched a CMM run for 10 minutes, back where they used to work (at that sh** company whose work is abominable), and so they are experts.
