Looking for a good CMM theory resource

Heya friends;

Anyone have any good books for learning the theoretical side of the CMM trade?

Everything I know about this mess is all self taught and I'd like to have a more concrete understanding of what's going on.

Any suggestions?

This book and NPL (National Physical Labratory UK) has several excellent best practice guides. You have to register to download, but registration is free and they don't spam.
