Experienced Quality Lead or Senior Quality Tech in Quality lab


Tasks in order of priority
Lead and support Quality Techs on 3 shifts and 1 CMM programmer on 3rd shift
Works with employees from production floor to Engineering, Quality, and customers for problem resolution. Directly reports to Quality Director and Quality Engineer for daily tasks and long term projects.
Leading and assisting in completing / reviewing PPAP dimensional reports w/ Quality Techs and / or Engineering
Gage review and Purchasing (everything from thread gages, calipers, and pin gages to bore gages, air columns, etc. with emphasis on setup and troubleshooting air gages. Work closely with gage/tooling supplier (Ford Tool and Gage) and customers for gaging needs - 98% of our gages are dedicated for long run customers
8D / CAR leader / participant (90% participant)
investigating, working w/ prod. and Eng. from customer rejects / internal audits
Dimensional reporting (PPAP)
Gage R&R
Experience with Statistical process control (typically Xbar and R, histograms from mini tab and Datapage)
Internal auditing - performing floor audits of production / assembly activities
CMM operation (PC-DMIS)
Coordination of service, support, thru Hexagon
Minor program editting
Ability to program - a plus
Ability to use DataPage - a plus
Experience on Brown and Sharp Xcel's or Global with PH10MQ, and analog scanning with SP25m - a plus




We have three 9 15 9 Xcel's with PH10MQ's and 6 position auto changer racks and One Global 9 12 8 with 15 position auto changer

AMT is a growing company, recently attaining Q1 status with Ford, and numerous new business with multiple customers

Experience with vision / white light scanning - a plus (currently looking to purchase a separate vision CMM)
Ability to assist local CMM fixture company with fixture design / ideas

98% of our products have customer provided fixturing

Ability to lift or move 50lbs (fixtures / parts), heavier parts with crane or lifts, sit at a desk, stand 8 hours a day, be able to work overtime as needed (typically 4-8 hours every other weekend and occasionally after 8 hour normal shift during week)


Qualifications/Requirements:
No specific qualifications to date, but previous work experience to be able to perform the duties listed in the job description. Possibly willing to train if missing 1, maybe 2, experiences of job duties.

Ability to prioritize and work independently to accomplish tasks by self or within a group.

Ability to be able to work with and explain ideas to personnel from the shop floor all the way up with managers and occasionally directors.

Compensation/Benefits:
TBD based on experience, but would expect range of $20-24/hour possibly more for experienced candidate. Medical, dental, vision, life insurance & 401K plan with company match.

  • I wouldn't even wake up for that. Companies need to step their game up if they want an ACTUAL programmer.
