Come on guys, Detroit is no worse than any other large city. Sterling Heights is a northern suburb and not that bad. Yes, I am from the Detroit area, yes, Detroit is dangerous in areas, yes, Detroit can look like a war zone. Changes are slowly happening. I have been to other cities across our nation and seen areas just as dangerous and blighted, (that's what happens when you make a wrong turn). Weather wise, four seasons, love the changes, just dress as required. Give the area a chance, maybe you might change your thoughts.
