Working on a 6 Probe Tool changer

Gonna cut the back square of the back and use that as my stand. That and The magnets are the only thing I got left. As always all manual machining.
Parents
  • Just buy one. Due to time constraints why mess around ?
  • Not to argue with you Schlag but to be honest with you, I'm probably more cheap then my company. Disagree if you want to, but I think that a lot of these components for the CMM are way over priced. Yeah I got mine at a discount. $2000.00 just to have the option? without a tool holder? Then just that 3 probe holder I made a year ago $2500.00. Really? The boss wants to invest in a Laser Scanner, so is he wanting to move forward? yes, yes he is. So I'll cut corners, safely, to get us there. Plus I enjoy machining sometimes, not all the time. If I can make something on my free time, that will save the budget, help speed things along, and make things easier, I will. Wink They gave me a check for the last probe holder and said this is for saving the company money. I gave it back and said "I didn't make that thing for you, I made it for me, to make my job easier."
