  • I originally started with CMM by accident. I had been a CNC programmer for a few years when someone crashed a machine. The problem wasn't the fact that the machine crashed, the problem was that they thought I did it because I was the only one in the milling department that knew G-Code. the bad part was the fact that I wasn't even there the day it crashed. After a couple of days of going back and forth, they realized that I wasn't there by verifying the time cards and cameras. With that being said, I was no longer allowed on the cnc floor. The put me in quality. I've been there every since 2003. When I started in the QC lab, we had an old Mitutoyo manual bridge. I think it was using GeoMeasure. I then moved on to work with Zeiss Faro arms and Calypso. Finally, I started using Romer arms using PCD 4.2. BTW, I still program CNCs from time to time. only now I use CAM.
