Management wants to create a load board for our quality department, so that they can see what we spend our time on and if we are worth keeping around. Lol so do you guys have to do something like this? If so how do you go about reporting? They have been trying to estimate how long it will take to create a program and measure parts based on size
I just keep thinking this is crap, I've worked hard to get away from being micromanaged. I want to be paid for the value I can contribute and not the Hours I put in.
Whatever path you choose, keep in mind that whatever number you give them they're going to want you to do it faster.
In these situations, I like to add a buffer (as described above) so I'm not overworked, but still seen as valuable.
