I'm looking at checking out some Screen Recording software.
We have an Optiv Camera system, which I don't believe can do video, but if I could just record my desktop I'd be able to crop out just the Live View and make little videos with the CMM.
Along these same lines, it'd be nice to have something that I could use, for example, to help you guys.
I personally am not very good at explaining things, but I could, for example, make a video of a particular problem I'm seeing, and show someone that will know exactly what to do, now that they've literally
seen the problem.
There was some software I had checked out, but it wasn't what I wanted. I don't care about Post Processing capabilities, or filters and bull$hit like that; I just want to record what shows up on my monitor.
What I'm truly looking for is something that records only a specific portion of the screen; maybe a resizable window I can drag over and record
just this section or something.
Any thoughts?
You can try
https://sketchman-studio.com/rylstim-screen-recorder/ or just google around. But beware - the live view from the camera may be electronically mixed on the video card and never enter the video memory. It might turn up as a black rectangle. You don't know until you've tested...
Interesting...
I have an Eagle card, and I can understand the logic behind your response..
I've never done something like that before, but it'd be cool.
I'll check that out, as well as some others, and get back
+1 to Snaggit. Also, if you install the whole enchilada that comes with the Framegrabber drivers, you can capture video thru-the lens. Forget the formats, but .avi is one........
