I got in a new disk probe I'm exited to use for a certain series of parts with a stupid tolerance on a little interior groove. I did my math for calibration this morning, then went to build it... Tip not in the list.
After getting angry, searching, reading, searching and reading more, I finally dared to copy another disk from the probe.dat file and alter it, then save it to usrprobe.dat. On the second try, I have it. Now to see if it calibrates and works... but at least I found the probe.dat file and got this far.
I don't seem to have that function with our license. It doesn't show up in the menu when I go to Edit=>Preferences. So I had to take the leap to do it this way.
EmilySue I thought that was standard! So when you go to Edit -> Preferences, you don't see Custom Probe Builder Utility (about half way down) available?
Correct. We have a floating license (I think that's the right term), so maybe that has impact on it. Very sad. I have found other things I'm missing in the past, but can't remember right now if they were actual add-ons or not. I usually just move on or find a work around when that happens... until it comes up again anyway, lol.
