Pc-dmis go

Does anyone know anything about what PC-DMIS Go is or how to implement it or use it's functionality? Or should I contact my rep?

The primary objective of metrology software is to create actionable information. As a metrology software development team, we are constantly seeking to add value to this task by delivering metrology information in ways that benefit our customers. During HxGN LIVE 2018, we’re previewing a new tool for doing just that with our PC-DMIS Users’ Group attendees – PC-DMIS Go.

PC-DMIS Go is a mobile application that will be available to smartphone users running iOS or Android systems. With PC-DMIS Go, we add mobile notifications as the newest method for delivering relevant, timely data to users at all levels of your business. Whether you are a CMM programmer, a quality engineer, a manufacturing engineer, or a plant manager, there are value-driven notifications you can subscribe to. This ensures that you have up to the second information on critical functions like machine status, measurement routine progress, immediate results data, and calls to action.

Once launched, the PC-DMIS Go app will be available to download from your regular app store. A separate Notifications Center program will also be loaded in your manufacturing facility. PC-DMIS Go will work on a subscription basis, with a free basic subscription included for users with a valid software maintenance agreement (SMA) and a premium level option that opens up more advanced notifications. Once registered, PC-DMIS Go will allow users to select from all the devices and measurement routines at their facility and identify which messages they are interested in receiving.

We’re really excited to show this new application to our PC-DMIS Users’ Group and hear their feedback as we finalise the development of PC-DMIS Go prior to commercial release. Hope you can join us at HxGN LIVE!

    **************************************
The PC-DMIS Go app allows users to receive status messages from Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence’s PC-DMIS metrology software. Users are given the option to subscribe to various CMM machines (devices) and measurement routine events that they wish to be notified about. PC-DMIS 2018 R2 must be installed along with the Notification Center add on. The Notification Center software requires the user to request an account from HMI. This process will isolate that customer’s facility so that multiple users could use the PC-DMIS Go app to receive notifications about events that happen only at their own facility. The PC-DMIS Go app allows users to select from all the devices and measurement routines at their facility and identify which messages they are interested in receiving.

The PC-DMIS Go app needs to be installed on each mobile system that is to receive messages. The Notification Center software will need to be installed on each device that will send events. All devices must be connected to the Internet.
  • Seems we all bought the no-go version... SunglassesSunglassesSunglasses

    j/k
  • ...create actionable information...

For some reason, my brain always sees this construct as "questionable information" - "actionable" read as a police/law term.. Anyone else?

  • I installed the Notification Center Admin program. I go to create an Organization Account and I get this error. Maybe the functionality of PC-DMIS Go isn't activated yet...As says, maybe this is the no-go version? From my understanding, you have notification center installed on the CMM computer, but you need to create an organizational account which gets sent to Hexagon for approval. Once approved, you have a log in for the PC-DMIS Go app. Then you can monitor the CMM as it's running. Obviously, there is a server disconnect on the Hexagon side because I have complete internet access.
  • Invalid JSON string feels like something is wrong either on the JSON creation side (your end) or the JSON response side (Hexagons end) and if it tells you to check your Internet connection, well - probably the Hex server isn't up yet...
  • This error happens on multiple computers. I have a ticket into tech support to see what my next steps are.
  • ...make sure your company firewall isn't blocking the communication to the Hexagon server as well - full internet access doesn't necessarily mean that all communication gets through. Just a heads-up.
