If anyone is looking for a great job, General Dynamics Mission Systems in Scottsdale Arizona (closer to Tempe) is desperate for an experienced CMM programmer.
TP20's, 3 cmm's doing receiving inspection work.
It seemed like the programmers were exclusively responsible for measuring product. They work a 9/80 schedule, so you get every other friday off!
I turned down the job offer because my current employer is awesome. They matched the offer, promoted me to Sr. level role, and even back-dated my pay increase (+28%) by 2 months!!
If anyone's interested in the St. Louis area, we're still looking for quality technicians. Medical device company. The forecast is for a 20% increase in manufacturing manhours in 2020. Place has consistently grown since I started here in 2001. Wouldn't have to have CMM programming if there are solid surface plate skills. CMM programming would naturally get a much better offer. Good benefits including an enhanced 401k and better than average paid time off.
