Covid-19

Things are getting out of hand here at work! A CNC guy took vacation to Iceland and returned today and the company told him to go home and call in next Monday to see if he could com back to work! He wasn't sick he went out of the country and came back. Oh boy
  • Add in the fact that all the mfg's of the various versions of the drug have been given blanket immunity (no pun intended) from litigation over the drug.......

  • I can't like this enough!

follow it up with "I wonder if that syrian guy who shot up the supermarket with the gun he legally bought AFTER passing a background check had to show his ID at the gun store?" They probably won't talk to you ever again.

I haven't had a good gun debate in quite some time. It is fun hitting people with facts when all they bring is their emotions with no factual basis. That is why I like listening to Ben Shapiro and Colion Noir among others. They bring facts and statistics that can't be argued with. The Q&A with Shapiro on college campuses is especially entertaining.
  • I don't see any logic in your statement.
    1. our state governor just (effective sometime last week) terminated all mask mandates and opened bars and restaurants, so there's no closure here in AZ.
    2. I'm pretty sure that taking both first and second shots (of either approved vaccine, Pfizer or Moderna) makes you 90% less likely to catch the virus.
    3. short term side effects like a headache are way better than death or potentially having lasting heart tissue damage, or lung damage equal to that of a heavy chain smoker of 30+ years....
    4. Without taking the vaccine, how else do you expect this crazy situation we are in, to be resolved? Drink Bleach? Hope the heat of summer makes it go away?

The public education systems in this country have been eroded over the past 50 years to such a degree that people don't have the critical thinking skills to realize that the politicians aren't solving the root cause of the violence in this country. People are just smart enough to work & pay taxes but just stupid enough to not ask questions as well as ATTACK their neighbors when they don't comply.

Every time you attack my constitutional rights I trust you less and less while thanking the founding fathers more and more for granting me this unalienable freedom.

The government is well on it's way to creating a national gun registry that is publicly accessible. This is the first documented step in becoming a communist country (Cuba, Russia, China, Germany, and numerous other countries all within recent historical memory...remember what happened to their people?). In my home state of MA, they already have an "assault weapon" (idk what that even is, metal & plastic can't assault anyone) ban as well as a ban on random pistols with literally no factual evidence to back up their regulations. More regs are coming soon. I am very afraid for what the next 50 years will look like for this country that I love so much. My family and I will be moving to a constitutional carry state within the next two years and we're never looking back.

Too bad I lost all my guns in a horrible boating accident.

    Come to Missouri!!!
  • In less than 6 months, my girl will have the hours & stuff completed for her licensing to be a mental health clinician. She'll be able to run her own private practice.

Once that is complete, we will be relocating to another area of the country. I will be utilizing recruiters but most importantly the input of you guys (my most trusted colleagues) to decide where we go. Have never been to MO, how is the job market?

The job market here is decent. Cost of living is very reasonable in certain places. My work is in a suburb of St. Louis but I live further out. My commute is 20 minutes each way but the cost of living is low where I live. If you come to this area, I can almost guarantee you an interview at my job.

An interview AT your job or FOR your job? Stuck out tongue closed eyes

A little of column A, a little of column B. Wink

In all honesty, probably both. The only thing keeping me from being a full time programmer is the lack of personnel to operate and analyze programs.
