What to expect on calibration?

Hi all,

searched around but didn't find much. Hex is coming to calibrate our machines in the next months. I haven't been involved in this before. I started CMM programming a year ago. What to expect? Should i remove all my fixtures from the surface plate? Is there anything i should do before they come? How long does it usually take to calibrate a machine? How long if it needs adjustments?

  • we have always taken our probe changer off. That's what my manager said anyways. It's not hard to re-calibrate the thing, so i don't mind. Doesn't take up a whole lot of time.

    I've done it before, but we have so many new projects at this time, if i can help not wasting time when we could be inspecting then i'd rather not
