What to expect on calibration?

Hi all,

searched around but didn't find much. Hex is coming to calibrate our machines in the next months. I haven't been involved in this before. I started CMM programming a year ago. What to expect? Should i remove all my fixtures from the surface plate? Is there anything i should do before they come? How long does it usually take to calibrate a machine? How long if it needs adjustments?

Maybe I should have been more clear on how our machines are set up. Attached is a picture of how our CMMS are set up and WHERE the probe the changer is.

It looks like a mess, Much cleaner than it was when i started. I've done a lot of good for this lab in the cleanliness factor. And to be fair, I've only been in here for 10 months. I don't generally have time to just clean though. Between programming, running parts, calibrations, and dealing with suppliers, I don't have a whole lot of time to get things done it seems like. Sorry its not up to your standards KIRBSTER269 LOL
