Bored of programming

I have been in programming for about 6 years and feel like I am a bored of it right now.
I don't want to leave the field because of money and I do enjoy the work.

Do any of y'all ever feel bored of programming? What do you do to overcome the slump?

  • Yeah I definitely don't feel like I am being challenged at all. But the things that I want to focus on are all of the most complex issues of measuring a part and we just don't need to do those things at my work. I am considering diving in to learning Basic programming for writing scripts because I have learned so much of what PCDMIS is capable of. I know I definitely don't know everything but I probably have close to 13,000 hours in PCDMIS so I know a thing or two.

    The next chapter of my like is only a few years away after I get my degree. I think I will be happy enough programming for the next few years but I dont see myself being happy programming for another 20+ years
