No college degree. Have a bunch of random credits. Want to put them together to be an engineer (one day. but I have a good quality of life, so there really hasn't been a "fire under my a$$" to do it). Started at a sheet metal shop. Went from part cleaner, bench inspector, quality coordinator, QE, then Quality Manager. Moved on to larger companies to pursue programming and Quality Engineering.
Have worked in aerospace, space, defense, medical, as well as automotive manufacturing environments. Am 29 years old, have been programming for 10yrs.
Right now, I work at a great company. I am a QE/PC DMIS Team Leader. I program in PC DMIS as well as Quindos. We make finished gearbox assemblies (component manufacture as well as all of the assembly) and sell direct to large aerospace OEMs. 85% of our work is military, am proud to be part of that process. They keep me really busy with programming all of the parts that go into these assemblies. Have 2 PC DMIS CMMs I am responsible for, have 7 CMMs total that I use/program for.
