Winter

same old, same old. nothing new or out of the ordinary here. Yup, lots of snow, nope, nothing new. Didn't stop me from getting to work in my FWD (no AWD or 4WD) minivan. Same old same old.

I am in Wisconsin. Harsh winter conditions is normal. We have been in a deep freeze for a few weeks now. Nothing higher than 10°F during the day and -20°F at night. Wind chills at -30°F to -40°F.

I have family in Texas who have had their power cut off. My cousin had her pipes burst while the power was off. Crazy stuff.

I live in MA, its been cold and snowing for a few months now, nothing out of the ordinary. I've been skiing and having fun.
Missing work here gets you labeled a "snowweenie".

I feel bad for the people down south, though.
Our country's infrastructure is so poor that an unexpected ice storm has several million people without power. This is wild.

As others have said here in Michigan were use to winter. But dam the car said negative -12 degrees yesterday morning on the way to work. Tuesday I came home to Knee deep snow in the driveway, most from the blowing/drifting. But I have electricity so all is good its just winter.

Coldest I've seen all year is about 10° with some wind

My car showed -9 yesterday on the way to work. We get a handful of negative days every year.

St. Louis area here. Monday was a wild drive to work. We are far enough north to be used to snow but far enough south nobody knows how to drive in the snow. Highway was doing between 25 and 35 mph on the one clear lane on the way in. Me, on the other hand, had my diesel in 4wd doing 55 in the snow covered lane with no issues. No power outages here that I've heard of or anything else out of the normal. Schools have been closed every day so far this week which I think is ridiculous. School districts around here are run by snowflakes (pun intended) now days. This was nothing when I was in school. They were closed one day last week just for the cold.

My place of employment is nice to us and has 4 reserved parking spots with available power in the winter for diesels so we can plug in our block heaters. There are only 3 of us here that daily drive a diesel. My engine hasn't been below 80° for a week and a half now. It's either running, plugged in at home, or plugged in at work.

hell no, I'm not moving south. I don't plan on moving at all, but if I did (had the money) it would be further north.

I'm far enough north that EVERYONE should know how to drive on snow, yet 90% are clueless.
