Position within .002 "R"

Position question. What does it mean when a position feature is called out like this...

" ...TO BE LOCATED WITHIN .002 R OF TP ".

"R". Why "R"? What does this mean??

Please disregard the stuff about the " ø " symbol. I'm not really interested in that right now, but the "R" we are very interested in.

Radially??? Shooting in the dark here.

If it is radially, it could be a lazy mans way of a composite true position. Again, shooting in the dark.

^^^ is my assumption too. Kind of bass ackwards way of dimensioning a feature or set of features. Maybe they need to be explained the intent of simultaneous requirement
