Vacation starts at the end of the day. After all the 'family' deaths in the last 18 months, I decided to take my entire family on a trip to da U.P. eh? to make as many good memories as possible.
Not leaving right away, have to wait until all the different schedules lined up and so forth, leaving Tuesday morning. Got motel rooms in St. Ignace. Wednesday we are hitting Whitefish Point & the ship wreck museum followed by Tahquamenon Falls, followed by the bear ranch. Depending on the disposition of the 'baby' bears, we can get photos taken 'feeding' a baby, then back to the hotel. Thursday we are planning on hitting The Mystery Spot, the Deer Ranch, Cut River Bridge, and Kitch-iti-kipi. Of course, any interesting 'spot' on the route will get hit as well. Friday on the way back, planning on hitting Sleeping Bear Dunes.
Lots of driving, lots to see. Seven of us all in 1 mini van (Dodge Grand Caravan)
Have fun! Sounds like a lot of site seeing. Enjoy it!
In two weeks we are heading about 4.5 hours north west to upper left corner of Wisconsin, near Hayward, to do some camping, swimming, and fishing with my wife's family. We went up there last year and had a blast. Different campground this year.
About the ONLY thing I've not done in da U.P. is Pictured Rocks (including going to the top of the ski jump at Copper Peak, that was fun!). But that would be a bit much in the time span we all had available.
2year ago i went on a water fall trip on my way to Marquette. I had driven thru Munising my whole life and never stopped so I went to all the little falls there.
