I bought my wife a Dance pole for Christmas. She has been wanting to get into pole fitness for a while and I bought her one finally. (I swear it wasn't my idea lol)
Well.... after the first day of it being set up the kids decided to use it as a jungle gym and sprint from the corner of the room and jump on it and spin around. Which resulted in the pole bending slightly. So I took it down and bent it back and fixed it and set it back up. I then had to test it out to make sure it was secured so I grabbed a hold of it and gave it a big ole twirl to make sure it wouldn't come loose from the celling.
I have never been more sure that I was dying than when I Magic Mike'd myself straight to my back on top of a plastic collapsible foot stool. Falling is one thing.... but when your spinning like it pays the rent and then you fall it changes you. And on top of that the footstool made a loud crack noise and immediately among the chaos I was certain that I had broken my spine.
However, after the initial shock was gone I walked away with nothing but a sore back, damaged pride, a warped footstool and a story I can't tell people that know me. lol
