Hey guys/gals I am wondering how you and your CMM are used. aside from CMM operator, what titles do you carry? many? Engineer? Programmer? Metrologist?
I guess I should update this for my new job. I am currently the only one in quality which means that I check parts, write programs, and review prints as well as being in charge of all of our AS9100 compliance. We have an audit coming up next year and they have been without a quality person for about 6 months so I have a lot of work to do before the audit. Not sure what my official title is but I believe I was hired as a CMM programmer. Clearly I am doing more than that but I don't mind. The company has about 10 employees total and every one is nice and laid back. We get all of our work done on time without a pile of pressure from anyone so I am very happy here so far.
