My father-in-law had a heart attack about 20years ago. He hasn't had another since and is now pushing 80 years old. Proof that a heart attack can be overcome.
My grandmother did the same. She had her first heart attack on my wedding night at the reception after a few too many glasses of wine and some good ole Elvis Presley to dance to. Her ticker has been ticking fine since and that was 8.5 years ago.
