3D Printing Examples

Hey guys. I am starting a list of reasons why I need a 3D printer. Do you all have any pictures or examples of where a 3D printer made an impact for you either in programming or with gages or fixtures.

  • So... which filament should I look at for printing holding fixtures, etc. with the least amount of post-processing?
    SLA, SLS, FDM?
    ...and which printer?

All of these fixtures were printed on an FDM printer. If you want a machine that just works, I would suggest getting a flash forge machine. (Creator 3, Adventurer 4, Guider II)
We have a Guider IIs at work and I really like it.

My personal printer is an Ender 3 which is more or a hobby printer (It just requires a lot more fine tuning then a more expensive machine).

SLA printers are really good for fine quality prints but the resin is toxic and shouldn't be used in a confined space unless it is well ventilated.

SLS is freaking expensive. Way outside my price range.

As far as filament goes, PLA or PETG are both good filaments to use. I really like the filament brand Overture.
