Hey all....I miss programming and reverse engineering issues on the CMM and parts made at the tech school, but now I'm getting paid to run 2 CMM's and a CT on the weekends. The CT utilizes 'GOM Inspect 'to analyze the meshes it produces. GOM has a free version that has almost no limitations. I've spent over 100 hours learning the GOM Inspect software now and if anyone that needs a level up lesson coming from PCDMIS send me a DM. I'm still rather green, but I can help you avoid the brain damage of how it differs from the CMM and it's basic functionality. Any other GOM users here???
I was amazed the free version was as unlocked as it is. What is doesn't do, like letting you edit, forces you to redo errors over and over which improves your learning as is. I think they have a 2 wk trial for pro, but I just used the free at home to learn.
