Maybe you're breathing harder when moving in X? Try not breathing next time. All seriousness... that probe is ultra sensitive (not always a bad thing) like mentioned before attempt to clean up the physical machine around the X axis eg. ways are clean, accordion covers aren't interfering, inspect X motor (or servo?) and belt tension.
