Blue Light Inspection question

Anyone know the skinny on blue light inspection machine?
I know very little about them. We had some airfoils inspected and my colleague expressed his interest in getting one.
- Are they complicated to operate?
- Are they accurate?
- I've heard the pluses, any minuses?

  • The Blue light is easy, there are a few things different, but not complicated, if your not familiar with Polyworks and the Faro, then you would be better off with PC-DMIS Absolute Arm. Easy to marry the pointcloud to the model, we have one, I had a guy come in here for training for one day, just to show the couple of things that were different, and believe me, it ain't much. If you're gonna go down this road and your good to go with a scanner, keep everything familiar, not starting over from scratch.
