  • Bummer. It's not a feature I would have used often, but it would really come in handy those few times I wanted it.

The "significant effort" message is interesting. I get it. Sometimes something seems simple until you get into the details of implementation. In my head it seems like you could just take whatever code mirrors a part and tweak that to do the conversion, but it's probably easier said than done. I know there has been plenty of times when I've been irked by someone saying "couldn't you just _____?"

Umm... at least we have some closure on a popular 6 year old suggestion? That's something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Just another one to add to the Wish list that'll never come true, I suggested 2 settings for the avoidance move, one before and one after. treat it like a line bounded and unbounded.

I don't remember which version it started, but it's there...2022.2 added the vector option.

That's a cool feature! Now I'm even more bummed to be stuck in 2020R1 land Disappointed

No kidding, well that's good news, I asked for that back in 2015 version, and it only took them 7 years, dreams do come true, Well in 7 years your request may come true to.

I can bump up but I like 2020R1 because of Xact

I'm at 2020R1 as well for the same reason. If 2022 was backward compatible with Xact I would upgrade.

Glad that they made a "better" GD&T module but I have hundreds of programs that use Xact. I'm deeply afraid of the Crap-nado that would happen if our Medical Device QA folks caught wind of this kind of change.

On the other hand, there are other improvements, enhancements and new features that I am or possibly will be interested in in the future.

On the third hand, I'm not that terribly far from retirement and the junior programmers here will need Hexagon PC DMIS support, which to my understanding ends after 4 or 5 versions.

Retirement???? The way you act, I thought you were 17 Rolling eyesStuck out tongue closed eyes. Honestly I'm with you, I've downloaded and checked it out, We have Inspection Expert and also Solidworks Inspection, same thing, but it does not work with GEO, because when dumping it, into one of those platforms, It has to be in Text form, Well in Text form, Geo is garbage, so all the programs I have made, I will have to change everyone of them, Problem is, The only way it will function, Is if I change my from XactMeasure to GEO Tolerances, then I would have to change those into Legacy, Might as well go back to 2011 when neither one existed.

Would you believe I'm retiring at 21?
