OFF-TOPIC got really boring.... What you all been up to ?

TO start it off.... I hunt and train pointing dogs in my off time. 100+ birds in the bag this fall ( and a few deer ) and the Lakes froze over last weekend so some hard water fishing happening in Minesoooootahhh !!!

What you all been up to ?
  • Started working at a new company a few weeks ago that has given me total control of the CMM Programming duties. They started me off with more money than my previous job and its 1/3 of the drive. Where I was previously, I was not allowed to change/improve anything without approval from a boss (who knew next to nothing about the capabilities of a CMM). The best part was leaving a toxic work environment where I was miserable every day to something I can walk away from with a feeling of accomplishment and pride is a great feeling. I honestly don't know what took me so long to make a change.Slight smile

I feel you. My old job had an operations manager that was upset that I couldn't scan parts on the CMM. He said I was either being difficult or was ignorant because all CMM's can scan. The CMM was an old Tesa Microhite 4-6-4 with a manual head. Not only did it not have a scanning head, the controller wasn't even capable of supporting one. He had an engineering degree so he knew more than I did about CMMs.
  • I aint been doin nuffin. had lots of life changes in a short period of time. been stress central over here for quite some time. too busy trying to keep my head above water to be doing anything i want to be doing.... except i finally picked up my $700 guitar i bought 2 years ago (and only played once) and started learning again when i cant sleep lol

    What kind of guitar?
  • I raced my 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII in an offroad rally circuit (called HooptieX). I ended up at finals just outside of Austin TX this month Smiley

  • What kind of guitar?

Its a sunburst stratocaster. Shes purdy. i broke the 6th string the other day..... then went to replace it with the extras i had and wasnt paying attention and broke that string too. Gotta stop this afternoon and pick me up some more.

Ive been playing Rocksmith on the xbox. its like guitar hero for real guitars and slowly increases in difficulty as you play the songs and consistently hit certain sections. its pretty fun and ive learned alot. there are a lot of mini games too to help with chords and finger placement. ive been enjoying it alot.
  • That third image looks amazing. I mean the truck looks good but the entire image looks great. It looks like a screen shot off a ps4 game or something. "That is a work of art,"
  • took it with my google pixel 3a, 7 sheets to the wind and coated thick in dirt. hahahaa
But yeah that bronco is absolutely beautiful. He had just split his steering gearbox in half. Guy had a spare gearbox in his van. lol. He bought the bronco new off the lot in the 70's. he raced it the entire next day without issue.
  • Outside of Austin! How did I miss this?!!!
  • that rally ready place just hosted a "do it for dale" rally race last weekend, as well
