The company that I work for has our "rework" area right outside the cmm room. These guys are grinding and throwing parts around all day! I have made several complaints about the amount of noise as it is disrupting my programming (I can't even hear the beeps from my machine) and the only response I got was "Put earplugs in" I don't think running a cmm with earplugs is very smart and you are asking for a crash.
Am I in the wrong here asking for a quiet work environment or do you guys also run your machines in noisy environments like this??
Smasherofprobes LOL. We just have press floor techs talk really loud in our lab, mainly due to that's how they talk on the floor due to the noise and ear plugs in.
I went from a job in a noisy shop to one in a quiet open office environment. I got used to years of projecting my voice. Now I struggle to use my "inside-voice" in the new environment.
