The company that I work for has our "rework" area right outside the cmm room. These guys are grinding and throwing parts around all day! I have made several complaints about the amount of noise as it is disrupting my programming (I can't even hear the beeps from my machine) and the only response I got was "Put earplugs in" I don't think running a cmm with earplugs is very smart and you are asking for a crash.
Am I in the wrong here asking for a quiet work environment or do you guys also run your machines in noisy environments like this??
Noisy areas don't normally bother unless the noise is coming from someone that doesn't know when to shut and just blabbers on just to hear themselves speak.
