CMM Equipment Brackets

Is it possible to locate a user in the nearby Sheboygan County area? Someone that also has Global Performance equipment. Long story short, before my time they "mis-placed" the yellow CMM shipping brackets that came with the equipment. In a couple of weeks, we are slotted to have the CMM moved to our new location in the building. We can't do that without these brackets. So long shot to find the right CMM shipping brackets.

What size CMM do you have?
  • If you are just moving it across the plant and your floors are clean and smooth you can take the probe head off, lower the quill onto Styrofoam or a box of shop towels and move it with a pallet jack or large forklift. I've moved 1/2 dozen or so CMMs like this with no issues but.... you have to be very careful and plan your route and clear the path and have several people walling with the CMM to make sure it stays stable while you're moving it.
  • if nothing else, you can make up some easy enough, some angle iron with holes and so forth. Use stacks of washers between so that when you tighten up the bolts you don't torque anything. I still have the original brackets for the roughly 40 YO Validator, they are not precision in any way, they bolt to the table and to the legs, just fancy angle irons.
