Before anyone begins making allegations, the Beer thread was not deleted on purpose.

While cleaning up old off-topic threads I inadvertently missed excluding that one. As a way to make up for it, I've reinstated the rep points.

Got me to thinking, what got each of us started on "different" beers

Around 10 years ago a guy I am mountain biking with pulls out a 750 ml bottle of beer (we stop some place scenic for "refreshments" on all of our rides). He said it is from some brewery that just opened up in Cooperstown. It was Ommegang and the rest was history. It was a long, slow transition as good beer was not easy to get here even only 10 years ago.
