We finally received our 7.10.7 Global S. I need to learn how to scan.
Suggestions are welcome and very much appreciated.
We machine parts with a lot of +/- .005 profile call outs and I would like to
use scan to get better results.

Google search shows that you have a nice looking shop! That is a lot of HAAS machines, certainly went the bang for buck route there!
Assuming you went from a TP-20 machine to an analog scanner?

We have about 30 HAAS CNC'S.
We have 7.10.7 SF with TP-20
and our new addition Global S 7.10.7
Global S 7.10.7
....with what kind of sensor?
What do you mean "What kind of sensor"?
It comes with a HH-AS8-T2.5
and a HP-S-X1H sensor.
I hope that is what you are asking.
Step one is figure out how to scan a circle.
Then start reading the help file. If possible have your company send you to Demon 201 training.
HAAS is essentially the wish.com of the CNC world...cheap AF and break down a lot.
Thank you for you opinion. May you have a wonderful day.
Great Value brand for sure... Not quite in the Wish.com realm though.
Cost to Value to a smaller business are kind of tricky. I would take 3 HAAS over one Mori any day of the week if I was on a fixed budget. And those HAAS would come with the tool setter, and 5th axis table, and any other nice features that the "big reliable names" make your pay out the nose for.
I agree. We machine about 1500 pcs per day thru out our shop, mostly 321 ss and 625 inconel.
After almost 30 years of business HAAS has not let us down yet. HAAS machines are great,
and their customer service is 100% on point....
angel@rimecoproducts.com There is a lot more to scanning the just "scanning" take the 5 day course of 202-202. everything matters from how you calibrate, what settings you have set for the sensor what "strategy" you use and how you filter the data. you can make bad parts good or good parts bad if not setup correctly.
