I need to create a report with the measured dimension reported as a barcode. Has anyone done this.

This could work:

Install this font (respect the license agreement):
http://www.idautomation.com/fonts/free/

Create a label on your report that references the dimension in question (see the reporting tutorials for this) and use the barcode font above as typeface/font.
