PC-DMIS to Excel

I would like a couple of Guru's to sign up to take a look at an Excel Spreadsheet I created to import measurements from multiple parts into one Excel Spreadsheet. This app has been created for use only with PC-DMIS V4.0 and up. I have tested it in 4.0 and 4.1 with the following dims ...

Location, Distance, TP, Profile Surf, Profile Line, Concentricity
Circularity, Perpendicularity and Parallelism.

But it should work with any type of dimension. Basically I dissected the existing source code for the wizard and made it to suit my needs. Before I (or we) release it to the masses I would like a couple of people who would be willing to beta test it in their environments and maybe make some suggestions for improvements. The spreadsheet was written in Office 2003/VB6 although office apps do tend to be backward compatible if you have an older version of office.

Cheers!

  • This workbook works great in 2011 MR1 once you sub in the correct object library as described earlier. It is about 99% perfect for what we want to do but I would love to be able to make a few small additions. Can someone give me some direction on how I can modify this to pull in the value(s) of some variable(s) from PC-DMIS. For example: Instead of pulling the serial number from the header I would like to pull the serial number from a variable called "SERIAL". The formatting can stay the same, I would just like to be able to redefine where some of the information is being pulled from.

I have looked through the Macro code and have a general idea of what each part is doing. I'm just not sure exactly where and how to define the variable and set the value so that it will understand that it is a variable in PC-DMIS and will pull the value from there.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for any assistance.
