Both has it's pro's and con's and if I would start off coding today, I would most certainly choose C# - but coming from a Pascal background, the choice was easy.
Also, Delphi syntax is not that cluttered with ++ and -- like C-syntax is. I guess it's personal preference, but to me Delphi syntax is a bit more like typing sentences. And the GUI building process in Delphi is childs play.
