5.2 Positional Tolerancing A positional Tolerance defines: "a.) A zone within which the center, axis, or center plane of a feature of size is permitted to vary from a true (theoretically exact) position"
ASME Y14.5.1M states:
5.2 Positonal Tolerancing "This Subsection presents a general explanation of positional tolerancing for features of size"
Plus if you think about it, MMC/RFS/LMC would not make any sense to a line as they all reference material conditions and like wouldn't have one. I would have to agree with the other guys, what they are looking for is profile.
