probe tips offline

just installed an offline station ver.2010.
If i have 3 CMM's with different probe files how do I get the offline station to "see" the probes available at the CMM's. I want to be able to create offline programs that use the tips available at each specific CMM.

    I looked at some older threads and saw that was the expalnation, however it did not work for me.
    Could it be that my offline is V2010 and the CMM's are all at 3.7 for awhile yet?
    The WAI folder had a sub-folder named PC-DMIS 2010 and no other folders from the install.
    I created the folder called "Probe files" myself.
    I have placed the "Probe file folder" in both WAI and/or PC-DMIS 2010 with no luck.

    You will need to look at the offline seat and see where it is looking for the probe files. It will be in EDIT ~ SET SEARCH PATH. All kinds of paths can be set in there, one of them in PROBES. Make it point to the PROVE FILES directory you made and all should be well.

    thanks for the help...it worked.
    Still new to PC-dmis, been using Calypso for last few years so this is taking some getting used to!
  • Be VERY careful that you do not post the probe files back to the cmm's as this will corrupt them and you will have to rebuild them.
    Also be aware that your offline seat will have some features in 2010 that are NOT available in 3.7.
    DO NOT USE THESE FEATURES.
    You will have no end of *&^%$£ if you do.
    You can install v3.7 on your offline seat to test programs BEFORE you post them to your cmm's.
    (instructions for this are available on the forum just do a search for multiple installs)
