SP25 Scan Settings for Sheffield Endeavor

Hi All,

I am looking for optimum scan setting parameters for a
SP25 Analogue Scan probe on a Sheffield Endeavor.
It seems that with Version 2011, I am having more difficulty
getting scans to work. I understand that there are scanning
limitations using the SMP400 however I have been able to
scan Circles(Planes) previously that no longer seem to work as
well as getting alot of "nominal data not found within tolerance"
errors.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

  • We just got ours installed and upgraded to 2011 mr1. We're having trouble getting it to scan without shutting down the demon. Anyone else have this problem with the Endeavor series and the SP25M?

Doing a search hasn't turned up much so far.

    Thanks -

I think you need to call Hexagon.

It could be the opt probe settings and/or some settings in the settings editor. I was having this problem when we first got our global advantage with the SP25. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with a Hexagon AE. We checked several settings in the settings editor, (changed a couple), and went over the opt probe settings. Unfortunately I did not try to document everything we looked at and/or changed during that call. I do know these settings are machine/controller specific so you really should call Hexagon.

    HTH & good luck.
