Somehow, my Probe Changer Data got corrupted / erased. What is the name & location of the file that stores this data? Is there a canned routine in PC-DMIS (2010 MR3) that periodically backs this up? Now I have to re-learn all of the 12 FCR25 locations again...
You have to look for toolc.dat, somewhere in documents and settings/application data/WAI/2010MR3 (I'm not sure of thefoldre, before 2010 MR2, it was in the PC DMIS folder)
You don't say if you are using Windoze 7 or not. If you are then the file is at C:\Program Data\WAI\PC-DMIS\2010 MR3.
Program Data is a hidden file and you will have to have "show hidden files" turned on in order to even see it in C:.
In the 2010MR3 release notes there is a technical bulletin that charts all of the elaborate byzantine bozofied riduculous PITA convoluted and altogether ludicrous new file directory structures. This necessary information is of course not included in the 2011 and 2011MR1 release notes because everyone always reads all release notes for all versions and new users just know by osmosis such information that was included in previous version release notes.
