I have done this before so not sure why it wont work now. I have a conical part, with extruded nubs sticking out in different areas that i need to miss with the probe.
I have created a Auto-Cone, then I got the path lines to show up from cursor, so only the path lines for the cone were showing.
No matter where i click on the path lines, I do not get the Move Path Line Dialog box. I checked in F5 under animation, and the "Path Line Moving Enabled" box is checked, and I am in translate mode.
What the heck is goin on here?? Of course this is a part that needs to be inspected pronto!
I am not sure but I had a similar problem with not being able to move path lines while creating an auto plane. Found out that if I closed it and opened it again I could then move the hits. Maybe it will work for you. I am new to this too. I assume I switched something in parameters to make mine work different than the day guys.
As with bruce, sometimes the auto feature box needs closing and reopening. Alternatively, I have increased the prehit and retract distances for a particular feature to avoid obstacles and then reset them afterwards.
I AM BUMPING THIS THREAD BECAUSE I STILL CANNOT GET THIS TO WORK! vERY FRUSTRATING NOT USING THE AUTO FEATURES NO AREAS THAT WILL NEED A CUSTOM MOVE PUT IN SO I CAN MISS THE FIXTURE. I HAVE BEEN HAVING TO DO ALL MANUAL HITS WITH MOVE POINTS, AND THEN IF I WANT TO ADD POINTS LATER.. I HAVE TO DELETE THE FEATURE AND DO IT AGAIN! I KNOW THIS HAS WORKED BEFORE I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS DIFFERENT. I HAVE THE "ALLOW PATH LINE MOVE" CHECKED IN THE SET UP BOX... SO FRUSTRATING!
