Acceleration parameters

2000 vintage Mistral 775 / PcDmis V4.2 MR1
This CMM accelerates veeeerrrry slowly, & I think maybe someone has been tinkering with some of the machine parameters.
QUESTION 1 - Under F10, Acceleration, the Maximum Acceleration values are X=0, Y=0, Z=0. Is this correct for this CMM?
QUESTION 2 - Are there other settings I should be looking at?

  • So I think I have found dynamics figures for a lot of the recent machines. Unfortunately, not all the source documents can be found in one place, but luckily I have most of this data in one place gathered fron numerous quotes (with exception of Mistral and Scirocco). A few caveats, before we get to the actual numbers:

    •USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
•These figures may not apply to all machine sizes for a certain model.
    •USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
•These figures do not take into account probing systems, which may impose further limitations.
    •USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
•These figures may not be correct at all. All are sourced from Hexagon documents (no third parties), but whose to say if they apply only to certain years of mfg., country, etc.
    •USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
•Further limitations may be set in your computer or machine controller. Your mileage may vary.
    •USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
•Other machine parameters may have an effect on realized acceleration or traverse speeds. Your mileage may vary.
    •USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
•Keep in mind, the 3D speed is all three axis moving at full speed. I have calculated a single-axis speed, which is what needs to be entered in PC-DMIS.
    •USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

With all that said, here's what I found:
