We have an older CMM which is a MicroVal PFX 4-5-4 running PCDMIS 3.5 MR2 on Windows 2000. that's right WIN2000. We had to do a hard drive wipe and a full reinstall after backing everything up. We are using a Renishaw MIP probe with various tips. Any time we manually calibrate a tip, and then use that tip in a program, it gives us the error message "driving tip into table". If we try to do a DCC calibration of the tip, it will give us the same message and won't calibrate the tip.
We must be missing something simple here. Table avoidance option is on and the software installed with no issues. Does anyone have suggestions on this issue other than get a the 2012 software upgrade which we will be doing in a couple of months but until then, we need to be running.
I was running 3.5 (not backed up) bad . I reinstalled with 3.5 MR1 with hasp & XNpci drivers .Now machine (Micro-Val 454) will not comunicate with the computer. Can't calibrate the probe . Any help would appreciated.
